Hi. Welcome to The Baking Connection! My name is Kathy. I am a licensed speech language pathologist by day and home baker by night. As far as I can remember, I've always had a sweet tooth for anything chocolate or baked goods. Although I love my job as a speech language pathologist and seeing my elementary school students flourish, I needed an outlet that would allow me to clear my mind and decompress from my work day. This is when I found the art of baking!

I learned to bake everything I could from scratch; cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cakes, macaroons etc. I enjoyed trying new recipes and experimenting through trial and error. I finally had the idea to attempt a concotion with my favorite flavor into a type of dessert my son absolutely loves, a cake pop.

I truly believe that different flavors from around the world can create a connection between different cultures. Through my asian inspired flavored cake pops, I hope The Baking Connection can introduce you to the flavors and culture of asia.
